udev and usb mouse

Hello,

I installed FC3 on my JVC XP7250 laptop with success.
My USB mouse worked fine but I had no auto mounting of USB storage devices.
On the Fedora website I found a document advising to install an update of udev to cure this problem. I did. Now USB storage divices are mounted and dismounted automatically at plug-in and pull-out. Fine.
But ..... now my USB optical mouse stopped working, even the LED is not working (no power on the USB bus?)

Can anyone assist me?

Additional information:

Plugging and unplugging the USB mouse does not produce entries in dmesg.
(the mouse is OK, works under Windows)
