troubles understanding instructions

Hi all! im trying to install the driver using the article at this site http://acx100.sourceforge.net/wiki/ACX I worked through the installation steps and on the last command I came up with an error. I think it relates to this section of system requirements but I dont understand what im suppose to do. The paragraph reads as:

For RedHat / Fedora, the "kernel-devel" package does not suffice for either of the build methods below and you will need a full kernel source tree. This can be obtained and installed as follows: - Download the kernel .src.rpm file from the Fedora core website - Install it with "rpm -ivh" - Have it unpack the source with "rpmbuild -bp --target i686 /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/kernelxxx.spec" - Rename the kernel source directory from /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/kernelxx/linux-2.6.xxx to /usr/src/kernels/`uname -r`

can anyone explain or help me to understand this part. Thanks for the help!!

mat

lastly, im running fc6

I don't think you need to do any of that. From your link, there are Fedora specific instructions, here.

ya I seen it shortly after I posted.....sorry! I do have another question tho' I keep running into an error when I run this code on that page

dkms build -m tiacx -v 0.4.7-3

the error states:

Error! Your kernel source for kernel 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 cannot be found at
/lib/modules/2.6.18-1.2798.fc6/build or /lib/modules/2.6.18-1.2798.fc6/source.
You can use the --kernelsourcedir option to tell DKMS where it's located.

what do you think would cause this? I tried changing my kernel to i686 but when I do it says already installed so I dont know if thats the problem like the page suggests. Thanks for the help!!!
