to know how many users are there and killing some of process started remotely

how to know how many users are currently using system with fedora core os.I logged into my pc using ssh protocol and Xwindows software. but the remote sessions got hanged in the windows pcs that were running and i used task manager to terminate them both times.
Then when I logged into my linux pc and typed command users it showed three users in the same name. so I feel that my system is running slow due to this. I want to kill two out of these but dont know which one is present one that i am using and the remote sessions.
how to do that?

How did you determine the user count?

The 'w' command will tell you how many users, and where they are and what they are doing.
and as root, the 'kill' command is likely what will be used to kill processes.
