These friggin dependencies
I'm trying to install glibc-2.4 package that other applications depend on and the dependencies are a NIGHTMARE.
Isn't there a easier way to install this package other than chasing after them on http//rpm.pbone.net. Somone needs to fix this dependency problem it is going to kill Linux if it is not fixed. Someone a whole lot smarter than me. Jim |

Good luck... |
This is why it's linux! Do it yourself and so...
BTW, usually you won't have dependencies problems if you install developer's packages |
I want to install a application called Tourcad that will allow me to draft electronic schematics, there supposely a difference in libc.so.6 that
Tourcad has to use. Thanks Jim |
Perhaps substitution may be less painful:
QCad is a free, open-source 2D CAD system for Linux, various Unices, and Windows. The developers main goals are to build a stable, fast, and easy to use CAD for everyone. You do not need any knowledge of CAD programs to start working with QCad. |
i could be wrong but dont all programs depend on a file or more to run but winblows has the depenecies for the most part already installed in their os. i kinda like having issues sometimes gives me a chance to learn more about what linux does and is capable of doing, but im weird anyway good luck.
