Telnet

How do you use telnet?

acid_kewpie 02-07-2007 06:57 AM

haha, nice. don't use telnet. use ssh. telnet is woefully insecure and really not something to actively start learning about now. just google for ssh and you'll be away. 95% of modern linux distros have ssh services alrady installed and running ready for use.

Bad Idea. Don't do it. Use ssh.

From Linux: Open a terminal. Type ssh IP_address_to_connect_to or ssh hostname. Enter your username and password and away you go.

From Windows: Download PuTTy. It's self explanatory.
