ssh taking too long to find the host

Hi
When i do ssh root@host. it takes too much time to display the password prompt. Sometime it times out and after entering the passwd it gives the error "connection closed by the host" and exits.
There are other machines identical to this in the subnet and they work fine. Please help me .

System details are
Fedora - 7/2.6.21-1.3228.fc7

Try to use ssh -v for debugging output and see where it hangs. You can specify debugging level up to ssh -vvv.

Thanks for replying. After i did "UseDNS no" in the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file on the server side and restarted the server problem went away.
