now we connected 2 hosts directly, via cross cable and everything is working!
Perhaps some problem with router, have you any guess?
there is just only one router, and it doesnt have any special restrictions on type of traffic, but its rather strange coz ping takes quite long time to reply, and i do not observe any SYN packets in tcpdump when i try to connect via ssh...
what can be the problem?
other hing is that usually you can connect using ip or dname.
when i try to connect to host 1 using its dname its ok and with IP its also ok, but from host 1 to host 2 its problem of IP and dname cannot be resolved as well: no route to host, though i specified it in dns table...
may be i need some more packages to download ?

Hey guys,
I am experiencing the same problem on FC7. The quick work around is change the sshd config file to port 21, restart sshd, boom back into the machine. Now i am able to troubleshoot why port 22 is being used by another application. I have a feeling that it was an update to a package, but i am not completely sure.

again funny problem! well
i can ssh from computer A to computer B, using just public keys (no passphrase and no password), and execute some commands.
now i decided to create a script that would do the same things - so log into computer B and execute all commands that i have to do manually. Sooo the problem is that i always get denied if i try to do it via bash!
may be i have to change some settings in sshd_config or ssh_d?
Please can somebody clarify?
Thanks

no there should be no reason to have to change anything in sshd_config or ssh_config. If it works from the command line it should work within a script.
What error are you getting? How is it denying you? I need more details of the error you're getting.
