sqlite cashe needs updating

OS: FC-6

When I try to run the software updater It locks up on checking dependences. So I ran it from command line and I get this error sqlite needs updating... I would like to run the updates to make this as secure as possible... any suggestions?

The message is just telling you that YUM needs to load the updated information from the repositories. It's informational, not an error message.

If it fails to do the cache update, it's probably caused by a problem connecting to the repository. This is often because the repository is being updated, but sometimes because you are not using the correct mirror set for your location.

You might want to verify that FC6 is still a supported release. Around the beginning of the year, Fedora announced a policy that support for obsolete releases would terminate soon after a new Fedora was released. (That's my interpretation of the announcement, not a quote. See the "sticky" at the top of the Fedora forum here for the real announcement.)
