Question Sound Loss Fedora 11. Toshiba Tecra

Am running Fedora 11 which i recently installed. I installed a stream of codecs to enable mp3 support and all of a sudden, the sound disappeared.

I have tried to search other forums what might be the problem but i don't seem to get an answer

Here is my output

[napster@milworm ~]$ lspci | grep -i audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)

my alsa output is also as follows

Anyone with an idea.

My laptop model is a Toshiba Tecra

Here i a grep output from dmesg

[ ~]# dmesg | grep -i sound
ALSA sound/pci/hda/hda_codec.c:3507: autoconfig: line_outs=1 (0x14/0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0)
ALSA sound/pci/hda/hda_codec.c:3511: speaker_outs=0 (0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0)
ALSA sound/pci/hda/hda_codec.c:3515: hp_outs=1 (0x15/0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0)
ALSA sound/pci/hda/hda_codec.c:3516: mono: mono_out=0x0

Is the device selected for Pulse Audio ?

Try reading this :

But don't do the uninstall and reinstall part unless you find you have no devices at all.
Scroll down to the screenshots, and find the same things on your laptop.
You may need to install some pulse audio extras.
