SNORT and ACID help!!

I got problems installing mysql database. When i run scripts/mysql_install_db..the following error message occurs"didn't find /usr/libexec/mysqld"....All my installing have been following the instruction from the ACID webpage and all the installation and building parts were done without errors..BUt i juz can't seem to install the database..WHY!!????Pls someone help me!1!!!!!!!!!!!

we installed a tar.gz sql file on fedora core.....
