Sluggish Applications Places Desktop Toolbar

Having recently upgraded to FC4 I find the above toolbar often takes several seconds to unlock after coming out of an application. This is infuriating and reminds me of Windows XP Ho.. sorry that was uncalled for.

Kernel is 2.6.14-1.1653_FC4

Has anyone else come across this, and is there a way of curing it?

Same here. I didn't realize that it happened upon exiting an app. I click on Applications or Desktop and it sometimes takes many seconds to respond. I've been running FC4 for six months or so. I searched for someone posting a similar problem initially but didn't find any. It's just another one of those many things that I don't understand and am too overwhelmed to do anything about it.

Tried a yum update which seems to have improved things quite a bit.
