Skype 1.4.0.99 on Fedora 7 freezes PC on logout

Just installed Fedora 7, updated the system and then installed Skype 1.4.0.99. When I have Skype running and logout the system hangs completely. No response to ctrl+alt+backspace or ctrl+alt+F[1-12]. If I shut Skype down manually and log out, no problem. I assume it is a Skype problem of some sort but should Fedora be able to force shutdown of application when logging out? Anyone with similar problems?
