"SIOCGMITHY" on Eth0 failed:operation not supported
 

Hi Geeks,
i am using fedora 7,having 4 eth ports.
when i give "MII-TOOL" command.
it shows error as
"SIOCGMITHY" on Eth0 failed:operation not supported
"SIOCGMITHY" on Eth1 failed:operation not supported
"SIOCGMITHY" on Eth2 failed:operation not supported
"SIOCGMITHY" on Eth3 failed:operation not supported
"SIOCGMITHY" on Eth4 failed:operation not supported

please suggest me any solution on this.

try ethtool

Some recent eth cards do not have MII transceiver.
