server will not start


I am using fedora core 6, and when I bott my systerm I am getting the message

Fatal Server Error

Server is already active for display 0.
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp xu lock and start again.

I would appreciate help with this problem

Log in in text console and use 'rm /tmp/.X0-lock' command (I think as root). Then reboot with 'init 6' or just pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del.
