Sendmail clogging up start up time in Core 6

Hi All! This is my first post.

I use fedora core 6. When fedora boots, a program called sendmail takes a long time to get okayed, which causes a large increase in boot
time.
This started happening only 2 boots ago.
My computer is not a mail server, but is connected to a LAN.
Recently, i changed the hostname of my computer on the network
via System -> Administration -> Network -> DNS from localhost.localdomain to myname.
Can anyone tell me how to fix the problem?

Change back your hostname to "localhost.localdomain", then search LQ for similar threads.

My suggestion is..... as this thread's title suggests:

I guess, this is meant to be directed to the thread starter, sorry unSpawn.

No need to apologise. However the thread you mentioned shares nothing with this one. Next time maybe just say "if it ain't broken...".

Happened to me a few times before, just disable it.

As root
Code:

chkconfig sendmail off
