sata raid??

I tried installing onto my SATA Raid but I get messages from the partitioner about wiping my sata drives (which have a windows install on and some free space atm) its certainly not picking up the fact they are a raid and not indervidual disks.

None of my hard drives are infact on the standard IDE controller...

2xSATA Raid 0 - SiI 3112
1xIDE (not raid but running off an IDE raid controller) - IT8212

Can anyone point me in the right direction here, I really want to get Linux running on my main PC again!

Thanks in advance for any help :-)

In Decemeber I bought a new PC with SATA drives. I looked around as I couldn't install Fedora on SATA, it appears only SuSe supports SATA.. For a work around I installed my two PATA drives and quickly go in to the BIOS when booting up and select the HD (hence OS) I want to load.. much cleaner and simpler than dual boot. So have XP on SATA and Fedora on PATA. hope this helps

I did the same thing myself in the end, had core 2 running ok untill it decided to continually give me access errors in root (how can root get permission denied? I didnt think this was possible!)

The SATA support seams very dodgy atm, I've decided to get myself a proper hardware SATA raid card instead and disable the onboard SiI controller as it sucks!
