I have successfully loaded Fedora 2 on a machine that I am planning to use as a content filter/proxy. I want this to boot without a keyboard, mouse and monitor, and just serve as a network server/device. I haven't a clue how to do this.
Currently it will not boot without keyboard and monitor, mouse doesn't seem to be a problem.
I have check bios and no settings there.
Please consider and respond as appropriate, and thanks in advance for your help
That's an issue of your BIOS mate, not of an
arbitrary OS you install ... if the POST stops
on "no keyboard found" no OS is going to
help you past this. Knowing the make and
model of the PC (or motherboard) may help.
Moving this to general, since it's not even a
Linux-hardware question.
well, its s linux server, which means ittl run forever, basically. boot it up with keyboard and monitor and then once its on, remove them. unless you plan on restarting it often, but thats not possible without a keyboard/monitor anyway.
The problem is not at POST everything seems fine until the Fedora Load. This is on a IBM NetVista Mini-Itx.
I recently loaded Smoothwall on another PC and once loaded Smotthwall does not require KB/Mouse/monitor. I was thinking this was a configurable option of Fedora.....
