Run 2 NICs, separate networks
I have found some threads on this, although they didn't help, probably because I'm not at a pro at this. I'm trying to run 2 NICs on each of my Fedora boxes. One NIC is tied to my internet connection 10.x.x.x and the other is only connected to local pc's on the 192.x.x.x network. I want to use the 192 net to move data between pc's and the 10 for surfing or downloading. Whenever I enable the 192 NIC, my machine tries to connect to the www with that, versus my 10 net? I have both networks running with a /24 mask. One machine is Fedora 9, the other is Fedora 10. I have not added anything in my named (bind-chroot) for this network. My overall goal, is to make one of the Fedora boxes as the dhcp server, and assign these addresses out (192 net). How do I separate these two networks by more than networks addresses? Meaning, how do I make my pc use one net for www, and one for an intranet?
