rtl8723be fedora 21 no wifi

Hi guys, I've been searching and working hard to figure this one out with no luck. Just bought a laptop. An HP ProBook 455 G2 with an rtl8723be wireless adapter.

I have tried several distributions (Slackware 14.1, Ununtu, Fedora, Kali Linux) and the only ones that even recognize the adapter and load the proper modules for it are Fedora 21 and Ubuntu 14.10. However in either distribution I cannot scan for or connect to a wireless ap. RFkill shows no blocks.

I have tried building the modules from source and they refuse to load after a reboot, I have also tried module options as listed on some other forums that I have searched through.

Tried ndiswrapper with no luck. It seems thus far that the only way I can get the wifi to work is to use windows, and I will buy a new card before I do that!

Any suggestions? The card is supported in the mainline kernel but just wont work.

Here are the outputs. Module is loaded but wifi search reveals nothing. And I cant connect manually.

Wireless cards

I have just bought a TP-Link card which works great with
Fedora 21. I suggest you get a recommended card.

Another sure fire way is to use a wirless access point and connect
over the ethernet port.

Gave up trying different cards that worked with Linux. Good to find one
that works.
