Hi,
I am trying to install rt2500 drivers for my wireless card. (Fedora Core 5 64bit version)
when I give the make command it gives me the following error
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.16-1.2122_FC5/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
rt2500.ko failed to build!
make: *** [module] Error 1
I have installed all these packages
binutils-2.16.91.0.6-4.x86_64.rpm
gcc-4.1.0-3.x86_64.rpm
gcc-c++-4.1.0-3.x86_64.rpm
glibc-devel-2.4-4.x86_64.rpm
glibc-headers-2.4-4.x86_64.rpm
libgomp-4.1.0-3.x86_64.rpm
libstdc++-devel-4.1.0-3.x86_64.rpm
kernel-devel-2.6.16-1.2122_FC5.x86_64.rpm
what should I do to get my wireless card working or make working?
You will either need full sources for the kernel, (which is where /build symlinks to), or use a prebuilt rt2500 rpm for your kernel.
How do I install the full sources to the kernel and get the /build symlink working? I am unable to find any rpm for it.
Please can you explain it in detail as to how to go about it.
Depending on how you have updated your kernel already, you will need to find the matching kernel-source rpm.
I can't find your kernel extraversion in the download mirrors, so have a look in your installation cd/dvd in the SRPMS directory and install from there.
