Yes, there is, but because of the dangers of your computer being turned into a zombie and infecting or annoying the rest of us, people are very hesitant to give it to you. Try googling it if you must.
John VV is right as well: Some programs, such as installers using GUIs, refuse to work in Root, and Fedora 10 I know refuses to let Root install except via the command line (terminal).
What, specifically, are you trying to do as Root? If your problem is that you are running into difficulties doing an install via the command line, let us know. I think you will find people more than willing to give you suggested shell commands to run.
Remember, it's not just you. Nobody cares whether you run your own computer as Root or not. The problem is the danger you pose to the rest of us. You get an infection and the rest of us pay. Solution: Don't let you get an infection by refusing to help you log in initially as Root. We're not doing it for you; we're doing it for us.
