Repositories for Fedora

I followed the links on the repositories to install in FC5, and the ones that conflict with eachother. Is there one that can actually find files that I can download and rpm? Every single time I try, it loads the header, but it says "bla bla not found", then "nothing more to do", or something like that. Also, is there support for BASIC? I tried Perl and Python, but is there a way to program in Python so that it can build a list of commands to run, rather than running each command as soon as you hit the enter key? I would switch back to SuSE 10.0 (10.1 WAAAAYYYY too buggy for me), but there is no changing xorg.conf with my Samsung SyncMaster 730B.

could you tell us the command that you use?

you can try rpmfind.net to search for rpms.

for what I understood the question,
you would want to learn Bash scripting rather that perl or python for your requirement.

does this mean you want to change xorg.conf?
vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf
graphical way:
system-config-display
