Replacing Fedora 8 Installation DVD with Online repos

My DVD player is starting to die. It ran long enough for me to install Fedora 8, but now it's not being read. Until I replace it I need a substitute for the DVD since I am getting Dependency errors in update manager (I assume it's because of the DVD's, but I also have Linva repos enabled). Anyway I dislike physical media: too much interaction is required.
So is there some "magic" repo that holds all the dependencies for it's packages as well as the item's themselves? Is it some incompatibility with Linva? I'm a little new to linux and I have ruined enough linux installations (about 5 now) to know not to go messing around unless I know what I'm doing.

I would guess that it is a repo conflict. Post the results of
Quote:
yum repolist
.

Posting the exact (cut and paste) errors almost always makes things easier to help solve.

It's okay. I figured out that it was just a few packages trying to update at the same times (firefox 2.0.0.12 and firefox 2.0.0.11 were trying to install at the same time, along with tetex packages (one package caused a billion errors))
