Use a boot disk and type
fdisk /mbr
and if you don't have a boot disk you'll have to use your
Win2K install CD and go into the recovery mode and then
from there you can run fixmbr
cheers mate... i'll consider it! thought i'd try fedora because i love the rpm format etc but i got a feelin my network device aint gonna be found by any distro and the compling caused tones of errors....

If you need help with those specific drivers, try searching the LQ forums - and
Nvidia has it's own forum, also. I've picked up some good pointers from them,
and they seem to be committed to Linux with their driver support. And if you
really want to use *nix, a NIC only costs a little bit. Hope we can help you
stick with it longer.
nah i'm not ditching linux! i use it to host my site and use it as my email server. just thought i'd give it a go as a desktop... the nic was the only thing linux didnt pick up!
i'll check out nvida's forums also...they have rpm's for RH 9 but not fedora! lol
