Reinstalling mysql

Will a yum remove mysql remove everything mysql related. I want to reinstall it for mythtv purposes and don't want to have any traces of it left on reinstall.

Are you going to reinstall via rpms? if so, then just drop all the databases in mysql. PHPMyAdmin is a really nice tool to use this, however,you need Apache configured.
