Recompile KDE

I would like to use KDE 3.3.1 but I have some questions before compile it .

- Fist question is : Should we use the same forder for all packet ? ( with kdebase : --prefix=/usr/local/kde3.3.1 , with kdelib : --preifx=/usr/local/kde3.3.1 . .. . . )

- The second : How to make the new KDE startup automaticaly when my run level is 5 ( for x11 ) ?
