RealPlayer 10 MPG Support

Does anyone know how to add MPG support to RealPlayer 10. Please be detailed.

Opening a MPG file with Real Player should actually get it playing good.

Have you tried another MPG file?

I have RP 10 GOLD and cannot play .mpg files... Don't know if it's a codec issue or if there is even one available for RP... I use Mplayer for my .mpg files, however, it's ironic that I can't play .rm in Mplayer either, but it's livable for me...

Okay.
Sorry for that.

But if you can't play a MPG with Real-Player, you should get Real Player saying Connecting to Real-Networking for downloading software etc.
I don't remember exactly whether my Real-Player in Windows plays .MPG files or not.

If it doesn't work, you may need to switch to MPlayer.

No need to apologize for anything...! When I try to run an .mpg file in RP I get an error "RealPlayer does not have the capabilities to play this format" Although there is probably a way of making it work, your most likely "Beating a dead horse" as they say...

Like I said Mplayer plays 99% of everything I listen to or watch but I can't expect one player to do everything... My suggestion is look for an alternetive to RP...

Still, have you tried "dragging and dropping" the file into Real Player?

With the slightest chance, it may play.
