Really Stupid Question
 

Here's a screenshot of my KDE desktop:

As you can see in the window list on the taskbar, I can't read the writing. How can I change the font of the objects in the window list to be black?

Run kcontrol (Control Center)
Click on Appearance & Themes -> Colors
In the Widget Color box click on the down arrow. I am not sure but I think that you want to click on button text. Then click on the color bar and change the color to what you want. Then click on Apply.

If button text is not what you want then try some of the other items in the pop down list.
