Programing expert assistance

Hello

I installed a graphical front end to YUM called Yum Extender. I liked it and wanted to continue to use it but after upgrading the FC4 kernel to 2.6.14, it fails to load when clicking on the icon. When run from the terminal, I get the following erroe:

Parsing error: Line 13 '[]\n'

I am beginning to learn C++ programing from books on my own and finding it rough going. None of the practice code I am working with will build.

Is there a way to fix the Yumex program or do I have to uninstall and reinstall?

Thanks

Bob

I sure hope you don't mean to reinstall the OS for that.

See if the problem persists even when you boot with the old kernel.
You could try the command: yum update to see if there are any updates to yumex.
If that doesn't work, try removing yumex and re-installing it.
