program install problems

Trying to install a game (Boson) and following the install directions on the website, I type ./configure and I keep getting:
bash: ./configure: No such file or directory
I cd to the correct file, logged in as normal user (same thing happens as root also)
Install directions here: http://boson.eu.org/install.php
seems pretty straightforward, what am I doing wrong?
By the way, I'm using Fedora Core 2.
Also, trying to install the big package.

Scott

In the directory you downloaded you boson, enter "ls -l". See if there is a boson directory or it is boson-0.10 or boson-all-0.10 and cd to it. Enter again "ls -l" and see if is there a configure file with execute permissions. Then, follow the instructions starting with "./configure".
Other hypothesis is your tar has no ability to uncompress .bz2 files. It the first ls -l only shows the package, use the following command:
Code:
bunzip2 -c boson-all-0.10.tar.bz2 | tar xv
. If you receive a message saying bunzip2: no such file or directory, you have to install the bzip2 package from your distribution.

Good luck!
