Problems with USB

Fedora2 and kernel-2.6.6.
usb won't connect on bootup and a lot of times usb
looses connections with printers and other usb devices.
while running in KDE if you disconnect the usb device
from computer and replug into computer, device will then work.
This is not a problem I have notice on just one computer , but
other computers also. But only using Fedora2, But fedora2
is all I Install.
