Problems Installing: out of disk space

hello there...
after various distributions i now decided to install fedora core 3 (4cds) coz i thought that wouldn't be so complicated!!!! after booting, loading, configuring, fedora was finally ready to install the image to harddisk, i heard the cdrom drive running but then getting slower and slower until it finally stopped; fedora giving me a message: error transferring install image to hard drive, probably out of disk space!!!!!!

what does that mean? offcourse i got more than sufficient space (around 7gb).
i tried out "linux allowcddma", didn't work!
can anybody help me, please? i would be more than glad... :-)
thanks in advanced
jason

Can you list your partitioning scheme? It may be that you didn't allow enough space for / and gave too much to, say, /home or /boot.

ok... i forgot to say that i'm a newbie :-)
well what i did was:
when fedora said automatic or manuall partitioning i klicked manuall.
then i went to my hda4 (linux ext3), doubleclicked, set mounting point to / and fomat.
my hda1 (winxp) and hda5 (swap) i left alone.
thatz all i did concerning partitioning. is this what you meant?
unfortunally i wont be able to reply any post by tomorrow but thank you very much for your help in advanced!
greets
jason

the answer to my problem, or the way i did it:
just burn your cds using alcohol 120% AND with low writing speed (i used 8x).
the media test passed with this.

well... NEXT PROBLEM!!!!
i installed fedora rebooted, but my grub didn't load... all it says GRUB STAGE2... and haltz.
any ideas are highly apriciated!
greetings
jason
