Problems installing ATI Video Driver on FC3

Hello guys. I know that many people have problems with ATI drivers under Linux.

Well, the latest driver came out on the 17th, and it's supposedely compatible with FC3.

Well, to a degree it is. I downloaded the file for the 6.8

When i did the command

rpm -Uh fglrx.rpm

RPM replied saying that i couldn't because there was a conflict with some libMesa package and that I had to remove it before installing.

So I entered the command

rpm -e --nodeps libMesa.rpm

It replied saying that it had been removed.

Well, then I executed

rpm -Uh fglrx.rpm

It compiled great, no errors whatsoever.

Then, I ran the fglrxconfig utility and entered all default parameters, but changing the default mouse, keyboard and other stuff.

When I restarted X and ran another utility, fglrxinfo, it reported that the current OpenGL renderer was MESA! Not ATI! OMG!

I am 100% sure I removed that packaging! How can It still be set like that?

Do you guys know of any fixes or tricks?

I was thinking about:

1. Looking for more mesa packages
2. Enabling AGP GART
3. Use another distribution, lol

Any ideas are appreciated!! THank you!

ps. I forgot the command to list all the installed RPMs on a machine.
