Problem with monitor display after Fedora install

I'm a complete Linux newb, but I successfully installed Fedora Core 1. The only problem I'm having right now is with my graphics display. For some reason, there seems to be a static, shaky attribute that occurs on the screen. I know that's pretty vague, but perhaps someone knows about this. I'm using a nVidia video card and my resolution is set to 1600 x 1200. Also, if I set the resolution any lower, the display doesn't fill the screen. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Same Problem

I had the same problem when I installed Fedora... You can set the res lower then adjust the monitor itself to make it fill out the screen. but as for the shaking and off colors, fedora probed the wrong driver. try picking other drivers for your card, or, this is what i did... used a different vid card for the install, then downloaded new drivers to install the one i wanted ;)
hope that helps... ive only been using fedora and linux for about a week now, so im not sure
