and now i noticed that when i go to "interactive startup" and disable some service(almost all) i am able to get the desktop... the serices i disabled are
kudzu
ip6tables
iptables
restore cond
syslog
irqbalance portmap
nfs lock
rpc idmapd
rpc gssd
qutofs sshd
gpm
anacron
atd
readahead_later
smartd
...............on the interactive startup if i give "no" to these services i am able to get the desktop and it works fine... wat shall i do now to boot normally without going for interative startup ???

The messages regarding hdb seem to indicate you may be having trouble with a hard drive. Do you have a device /dev/hdb? Does smartctl indicate any errors on the drive? Does dmesg show any additional errors for hdb?
