Think of LVM as a set of containers. AFAIK only a prepared PV (Physical Volume) can include a VG (Volume Group). If there is no VG there can be no LV (Logical Volume). Now command history doesn't show 'pvcreate' commands necessary to prime a disk for use by LVM. Neither does 'pvscan' show any PV signatures on any known device. So basically it stops there. What I'd suggest is two things:
- run your Fedora installer disk as a rescue / Live CD and scan each device from there. If that doesn't work you can be pretty sure there is no prepped PV.
- install Fedora and use "regular" partitions instead of LVM. Reserve one or two partition to play with if you want to experiment with LVMs. Or, instead of reserving partitions to play LVM with you can use files as devices (see losetup).

Thanks for your advice.
