Problem in Modem
Dear All ,
i installed fedora core 2 on my PC , but my dial up modem dont work . my modem is Zoltrix and i dont have Linux driver for it . What should i do ? i will be grateful if someone help me . |
The manufacturer/brand-name of the modem tells us nothing I'm afraid. What you need is the chipset type.
Is this an internal or an external modem? Presuming "internal" - enter "lspci" at the terminal prompt and look for the line that refers to a modem. Copy what it says to your reply. You will need to visit the linmodem project site, and obtain a copy of scanModem. This is a very useful script for figuring out your modem. It produces a bunch of files for you to read. One of them should be copied to this thread. |
