Problem in Modem
 
Dear All ,

i installed fedora core 2 on my PC , but my dial up modem dont work . my modem is Zoltrix and i dont have Linux driver for it .

What should i do ?

i will be grateful if someone help me .

The manufacturer/brand-name of the modem tells us nothing I'm afraid. What you need is the chipset type.

Is this an internal or an external modem?

Presuming "internal" - enter "lspci" at the terminal prompt and look for the line that refers to a modem. Copy what it says to your reply.

You will need to visit the linmodem project site, and obtain a copy of scanModem. This is a very useful script for figuring out your modem. It produces a bunch of files for you to read. One of them should be copied to this thread.
