I downloaded Fedora 24 twice, and ran checksum to verify. I got this error:
[bkeane@localhost ~]$ cd Downloads
[bkeane@localhost Downloads]$ sha256sum -c *-CHECKSUM
sha256sum: Fedora-Workstation-netinst-x86_64-24-1.2.iso: No such file or directory
Fedora-Workstation-netinst-x86_64-24-1.2.iso: FAILED open or read
Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-24-1.2.iso: OK
sha256sum: WARNING: 20 lines are improperly formatted
sha256sum: WARNING: 1 listed file could not be read
The Fedora-Workstation-netinst-x86_64-24-1.2.iso is not in the directory, I'm not sure it was part of the download. Is it a separate file, where can I find it, will it affect the install if I don't have it, do I have to edit another file if I don't need it?
I did not download the checksum file but it probably contains the checksums for both the net install and live ISOs. You can edit the file and remove that checksum if desired. You do not need both files and if you just selected the live ISO you would not of also downloaded the net install.
I am not familiar with the 20 lines improperly formatted warning.
Thanks for the help. I edited the checksum file and it worked. Any ideas why the file referenced an iso that was not included? Also, I know 25 is in beta, hopefully I can get some use out of 24 before it dies.
