PPPoE on Fedora... need help
I tried to get a PPPoE connection on Fedora, but it just crashed.
I used the Internet Connection Utility and selected xDSL. When I put all the data into that, like username and password. I checked the network configuration only to find that eth0 is OK, and now theres ppp0 added to the list. I made sure both of them were activated. When I tried the internet.... nothing found. It didn't connect at all. (Later on, I put Debian on the machine, and the internet connected OK... but I would still like to know how PPPoE works on Fedora) |
I don't know if Fedora comes with Roaring Penguin or not... Every distro that I've heard of always does..... Try:
adsl-setup Answer a few simple easy questions then use: adsl-start to connect. If those commands don't work then go to roaring penguin's web site and download it. It's a great pppoe client. I think 3.5 is the latest version... rp-pppoe-3.5 |
