I changed the inittab to boot to init3 and logged in as root and tried to reconfigure X, but if I boot into my previous kernel X comes up and everything is okay fine. So I am guessing that the I810 kernel module got hosed up or something. Any ideas on what to do to fix?

Just an update.

My kernel config shows that the I810 driver is a module, not sure if this helps.

Thanks
