Please help a poor noob :-(

Just installed Fedora tonight on my machine. I am trying to stray away from windows and experiance what the true power of linux can provide. I installed fedora, and noticed that my terminal/console was not installed. How in the heck do I install it?

Is there any way to get that on the desktop or taskbar with an icon? I hate clicking Applications->Accessories->Terminal every time.

press Alt+F2, a window opens, in that type
gnome-terminal
if that doesnt open your terminal window, install it using yum
yum install gnome-terminal

Found an even easier way (in Fedora, anyway). Right click on the desk top and select "create launcher". Put whatever you want in the name block, and put Gnome-terminal in the Command block.

Rather than the desktop, I've done a similar thing on the top task bar, that way it's always available
