I want to learn how to program in PHP. Is this in Fedora, or do I have to download it?
Also SQL?
Thanx!

If you choose it, it is, if not, you have ti install it later. It is on the CDs. However if you are installing a fresh install and want to learn on it, I suggest you go with the custom - FULL install, which installs all the apps and services (including Quanta (web editor, perfect for PHP), PHP, and MySQL with Apache web server).

It's pretty easy to use later on.

Hi and welcome to LinuxQuestions.org !

Yes, PHP and MySQL come with the distribution. If you have not installed them with the Fedora installation you find the RPM's on the cd's. For PHP you also need the Apache webserver.
Sure you can also download and install them:

Do you want to run PHP from the command line:
http://us2.php.net/manual/en/features.commandline.php

Or a LAMP server
http://www.brtnet.org/linux/lamp.htm

Yes, PHP is included in the Fedora install CDs. By SQL do you mean MySQL or SQL in general?
