PCI, PCMCIA adapters

I have two different PCI, PCMCIA adapters,
one with a Texas Instuments(PCI Bus), and one with a PLX Tech (PCI9052) chipsets.
They both work with a Orinoco Gold pcmcia card, in a PC, work great.
I'm seeing a lot of PCI, PCMCIA adapters on Ebay, they are using the Ricoh chipset,
has anyone used this adapter, chipset, on a linux PC with a pcmcia card ?

From the search tool here and going a few pages deep it looks like they work. There are a few bugs but most are 2.4 kernel related. 2.6 should support. Only thing to do is try.

Just thought of this if your need is to use wireless and have bulit in support of the kernel then this could work. I have not tried it but should work. If you have a wired nic that works fine then connect it to a wireless bridge device like this one. http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...VisitorWrapper

Then all you need to do is access the bridges interface web browser ( I believe ) and setup the networking as needed. No special wireless modules needed and encrption wep and wpa is a snap.
