PC speaker problems in RHEL5
 

Hi, everyone,

I am using RHEL 5 (with KDE 3.5) on an Intel-based Dell Optiplex desktop and a couple of days ago I noticed that the PC speaker does not beep any more. Although this is not such a big of an issue, it is still interesting, as the "pcspkr" module is live:
pcspkr 7105 0 - Live 0xf88a5000,
but "echo -e \\a" does not return anything. :confused:

Is there any way to see what is going on, when I send a signal to PC speaker, something in the log files, perhaps?
