partition problem

my hdd's structure
Code:
/dev/sda1 win c:
/dev/sda2 win d:
/dev/sda3 linux /
/dev/sda4 linux /1

/dev/sda un partitioned space
While installing Fedora Core 6 i want to add 2 ext and 1 swap space partition but it is only accept 1 ext and 1 swap space or 2 ext. for using. Why it is only accept 2 partition for use?

how can i configure unpartition space to swap space ? i am downloading gparted live cd. After i use it Fedora can see swap space? Should i make extra configuration for it ?

Thanks

You can only have 4 primary partitions. If you want more than 4 partitions, then one of the first 4 must be an extended partition.

An easy way to do this is to delete the two existing Linux partitions. Then, when installing, go to the manual partitioner and create your Liunx partitions as logicals---this automatically forces the creation of an extended partition.

edit: GPArted will do this very nicely also
