Package Manager

Hi all

How do i change the way the system install files from the Package manager, right now it installs every thing from the net, kind of chews my download limit abit.

Using Fedore Core 6

From where would you like to receive it? The Fedora Core repositories are located on servers around the world. They hold Terabyte+ amounts of data. What would be a more efficient way to get your apps and updates, do you think?

using pirut to install from installation CDs/DVDs

If you are trying to install packages from the installation CDs/DVDs, follow these instructions

Oh, and Tommy... I wasn't trying to be a smart-arse. I apologize if I came off that way. I was just confused about what you were trying to do. Sadly, you'll need to download eventually. Even if you do a minimal install, you're still going to have to get apps from the repos that aren't on the CD/DVDs.
