nvidia drivers? The best way?

I've installed the proprietary driver from nvidia.com on past installations only to find that my graphics improved greatly. However, since reading that sticky report on the top of the forum I'm a little leary to install them again. No going back? Permanently removes files?
So,I installed the livna repository and am not sure which yum command installs the drivers from livna. (I've done yum update) does this install them? I hope not because my frame rate still sucks.
Also beryl gives the white screen of death right now.
Any ideas? How do I get the most reliable nvidia drivers for fedora 7?

come on guys, help a guy out!

... I know it's for FC6 - but it still works.

Also see: www.mjmwired.net for a very complete lowdown on installing fedora.

Easy:
Code:

yum install kmod-nvidia
It even takes care of your xorg for you. Just reboot & you should have working nvidia drivers.

However, please note that if you have a GeForce4 or lower, then those drivers won't work. You'll have to use the 96xx legacy driver on nvidia's site.
