ntfs's rpm packagedoes not work,why??

yesterday i had downloaded the ntfs 'rpm package,which mactes my fc1's kernel,but when i rpm it,it occurs error info,as following:

[root@kszl usb]# rpm -ivh kernel-ntfs-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.i386.rpm
kernel-ntfs-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.i386.rpm: not an rpm package (or package manifest):

i think it is a rpm package,but it doesn't work,why?
is there any other steps avaliable??

try the ntfs rpm for kernel 2.6.11. It works for my amd desktop once.
The ntfs module only works if you can see the windows disk partions with
fdisk -l .

After installed the correct ntfs rpm for kernel 2.6.11, run lsmod/modprobe command
to check if the ntfs module is loadeded.

but the kernel you refered to doesn't match the kernel of mine
how could it works?

the current rpm for your kernel version is 2.4.22-1.2199.
