Hey All,

I am a 3D student looking to install FC5 today. Here is my problem though.

I am running a Dual Processor Opteron 246s with 4 gig Ram on a Supermicro H8DCE. My installation is FC-5-x86_64 I have a Raid set up and attempting to install for the first time. I get though the check and it starts to load Anaconda. It probes my video card and then loads X Windows. I get a black screen and then an X comes up on the screen. I can move the X with the mouse at that point but then it holds on that screen indefinitely. What can I do? I want to get this installed. Any Help would be greatly appriciated!!!!!

Good for you, good luck.

Try installing in text mode. Once the install is completed you can boot in text mode and try and figure out what's wrong with your xorg setup.
