no wine programs work after FC8 update

its just as my post says. I updated to fedora 8 from 7 through yum,three days ago. all of my wine programs worked on fedora 7. None of them work now. when i type "winecfg" or "winhelp" in the terminal this is what I see

wait event returned -14

does anyone know what this is. thanx in advanced.

Check out the error status for wait. I do not have the documentation for wait.
